What is Hypnosis?

Hypnosis is a state of focused consciousness. It is a very powerful and relaxing tool used to access your subconscious mind. Your subconscious mind is who you are.

It’s the sum of your life experiences; it controls your habits and beliefs. Through the gentle process of hypnosis you CAN accomplish your goals and transform your life.

What does Hypnosis involve?

The hypnotist will help you achieve a relaxed state of mind and tailor the session to help your subconscious mind to give you the belief that you can achieve your desired goal. You will be given positive suggestions to help boost your motivation to change existing bad habits or overcome your fears.

What can be treated with Hypnosis?

Hypnosis can be used for many different purposes. It can help achieve safe and healthy weight loss, enable you to stop smoking successfully, overcome your fears and phobias, manage stress and change your bad habits.

Does Hypnosis always work?

Generally, anybody of normal intelligence who is willing to follow simple instructions can be hypnotised. Although it will work for the majority of people, the majority of the time, there are no guarantees. It depends on a number of factors, not least of which is how open-minded you are to receiving subconscious instruction. The hypnotist will help to put you into a calm and relaxed state of mind which will give you the best chance of having a successful session.

What does a Hypnosis session involve?

The initial session is usually where the hypnotist gets to know the client, to find out what it is that they need help with. You will be able to talk about the issues you have been experiencing and, once you are in a calm and relaxed state of mind, the hypnosis session can begin. It is completely safe and most people have a wonderful, relaxing experience.

How many sessions are needed?

The number of sessions depends on the person and what is being treated. Stopping smoking normally only requires one session, whereas weight loss, for example, usually requires at least three sessions.

What are the limitations of Hypnosis?

Most hypnotists are not medical practitioners and cannot, therefore, provide a medical diagnosis nor recommend discontinuance of medically prescribed treatments. They can help in many other areas, however, but it should always be borne in mind that you remain in control throughout the session, you can choose to end it at any time and you cannot be made to do anything against your will.

  Inside the Golfer's Mind

...it's impossible to overestimate the importance of the mind in golf. There is no such thing as "muscle memory." Your muscles have no capacity to remember anything. Memory resides in your head.

Therefore, no matter how long you practice a golf swing, no matter how skilled you become, your muscles alone can't remember it and execute it when the need arises on the golf course. Your muscles and the rest of your body are controlled by your mind. Unless your mind is functioning well when you play golf, your muscles are going to flounder.
